WESG 2019 participants still haven't received prize money for the tournament
Canadian Esportsman ??Deanocide made a post on Reddit in which he says that the teams that participated in WESG 2019 in Dota 2 haven't received prize money yet. ??Deanocide played in ??Alpha Wolfs in the Canadian qualifiers for WESG 2019, and his team took 4th place, for which they should have received $1,500.

"Hi just wanted to make a reddit post since it's been nearly a year since WESG happened. The organization (WCG) in charge and the people behind the payment (Alibaba sports) have yet to payout any team for the tournament in 2019.
We had to send photocopies of our ID's more than 4 months ago and we have yet to receive any money or any indication that we are going to receive payment anytime soon. It's not a large sum of money and CSL teams have been payed by the same organization less than 2 months after the tournament concluded.
Here's hoping this post gets some traction so the payment process might be sped up."
It is not the first scandal with WCG over unpaid prize money. Last year, ??Windigo Gaming won WESG 2018 in CS:GO, couldn't receive their prize money for more than a year, but ultimately the organizer fulfilled all commitments.
