Tundra Withdraw From DreamLeague S26, Fined EPT Points
ESL announced that Tundra Esports decided to withdraw from the upcoming DreamLeague Season 26. Though the reason for their decision was not revealed, a likely cause is burnout. The team has been traveling non-stop and making deep tournament runs for the past four months.
Tundra Esports was handed a penalty for refusing an invite, which was a 20% deduction of their total EPT points. After calculations, Tundra is ranked sixth in the EPT table, which means they have lost a guaranteed invite to Riyadh Masters 2025.
Since Tundra punched a ticket through regional qualifiers, ESL has passed on the DreamLeague Season 26 slot to NAVI Junior, who finished 5th - 6th in the same qualifier. They will make another Tier 1 appearance after their surprising Playoff run at PGL Wallachia Season 4.
DreamLeague Season 26 is a $1,000,000 tournament scheduled for May 19 to June 1. This is the final tournament for teams to secure EPT points before the Esports World Cup.
