"Good Pups Don't Bark" - Team Liquid End 8 Losing Streak Against PARIVISION When It Mattered Most
We haven’t had a five-map Grand Final series in quite some time, but the series between Team Liquid and PARIVISION proved to be absolute cinema. PARIVISION would win the early game on every single map, but Team Liquid proved you can never count them out.
The first map looked like PARIVISION was about to build up a massive lead, but miCKe’s signature Nature’s Prophet went off, putting the team on his back with a 13/2/14 KDA.
PARIVISION utterly demolished the early and mid game of the second map, building a 12,000 net worth lead. However, a string of unsuccessful teamfights allowed miCKe’s Gyrocopter back into the game. Eventually, it was impossible for PARIVISION ’s mid-game draft to deal with Team Liquid’s late game, putting the latter up 2-0 in the series.
The Eastern European squad proceeded to show why they were the favorites of the series, and that the first two maps were simply a fluke. PARIVISION won the next two maps in very convincing fashion to force a Game 5 decider.
For the fifth time in the series, PARIVISION went into the mid game with a sizable gold lead. However, Team Liquid could drag out the game and buy much-needed time for Nisha’s Timbersaw to build his core items. With Team Liquid powering up, PARIVISION couldn’t take teamfights and instead, tried ratting and split pushing. Despite being multiple lanes of Barracks down, Team Liquid eventually got the 5 versus 5 teamfight they were looking for.
After 72 minutes of intense Dota action, Team Liquid displayed why they are the best team in the world when playing under heavy pressure, winning the Grand Final series 3-2.
With this victory, Team Liquid became back-to-back PGL Wallachia champions, and have finally broken their eight-match losing streak against PARIVISION, beating them for the first time since the roster’s formation in 2024.
SabeRLighT, who was a victim of numerous offensive tips and trask talks from PARIVISION, had something to say on X after the series.
PGL Wallachia Season 4 is a $1,000,000 that ran from August 19 to 27. The event was held in a studio format in Bucharest.
