Frostivus 2019 and Ogre Magi Arcana
Valve launched the Dota 2 New Year's event “Frostivus” in which all players can win various awards.
A special compendium with gifts appeared in the game, for each successive players need to win in the usual (unrated) matchmaking.
Among the awards are sets of snowballs for throwing at opponents during games, penguins-summons, holiday fireworks, a very special pre-match animation and New Year phrases in the chat. Gingerbread Baby Roshan courier is available as an ultra-rare reward.
Valve also added a new chest to the game – “Winter Treasure 2019”. You can get items for Ancient Apparition, Death Prophet, Treant Protector, Alchemist, Bane, Leshrac and Dark Willow, as well as a rare set on Ursa and an ultra-rare set on Tiny. Players can get one free chest with winter compendium for reaching level 20 in the “Frostivus”.
With an event, arcana set was added to the game on Ogre Magi.
It is called "Flockheart's Gamble": with it the character will get a new model, mount ("Flockheart Bird"), animations for all spells and casts and more than 300 special phrases. New Arcana also changes the Hand of Midas icon.
When using the arcana, players will receive a new counter that will take into account a series of successful applications of Multicast.
